American inspired timber bar stools with incised Latin gang iconography
running alongside the legs and back rail.
Merbau
frame, leather seat with brass studs, and a decidedly prisonesque attitude.
Killer design concept indeed..
Further
concepts included leather upholstery with tattoes incised into cowhide by
prominent tat artists in Singapore. As this had to be done live, on-the-cow
before slaughter, we held back in respect of the SPCA, and possible jail
time by our staff - Ouch!

A detail of the incised tattoos derived from
known Latin Gang members doing time in Mexican and Southern California
prisons. Light Merbau timber and dark blue stain was used for its' relation
to skin tone.
